Auxiliary Contributes to James A. Haley Veterans Hospital

Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, recently presented a donation to Lea's Prayers & Postage, Inc., to support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. On June 22, 2010, Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, presented a check to the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital so that special events such as pizza parties, ice cream socials, etc. can be provided to the Veterans. Auxiliary Thanks Weeki Wachee Crafters

Marine Corps League Auxiliary, Spring Hill Unit, recently presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Weeki Wachee Senior Citizens Center, Monday Crafters Group, for their tireless efforts in making lap robes, hats and slippers for the Veterans at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa.  Janet Voltaggio, Department of Florida Auxiliary President and Jean Sponheim, Spring Hill Unit Auxiliary President, made the presentation.


 

Donations for any of the community projects can be given to an officer of the Auxiliary Unit #137 or to the Marine Corps League Detachment Officers, or mailed to the MCL with the project listed on the envelope and check/money order.

Auxiliary Judge Advocate Meets Stars Recipient

Auxiliary #137 Assists Gifts from Home

Marine Corps League Auxiliary Judge Advocate Joan Johnson met Master Sgt. William C. Poe at a recent Withlacoochee River Electric Company Event where he lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Master Sgt. Poe and his unit, stationed in Kuwait, received 40 thank you stars from the Auxiliary Stars for the Troops Program.
